It started out as a way for Warhol to keep track of his daily expenditures, but it soon morphed into a conversation including personal anecdotes and daily happenings. Warhol's secretary (now agent), Pat Hackett, wrote everything down and later turned the conversations into "The Andy Warhol Diaries".
Andy was a cultural icon, often dubbed the creator of pop art. His paintings, prints, and films, are some of the most famous and renowned in the world. He lived an extraordinary life, living and breathing his art. He coined the phrase "15 minutes of fame" and was frequently on TV:
